Marble paper has begun to peel up slightly. Full gilt edges. Book mark ribbon bound in. Book plate from the library of Harold Randolph on front pastedown. Pastedowns and end pages are made with a beautiful gold floral print paper. Illustrated title page. Printed in German fraktur. Pages 139-143 have dog earred corners. Munich: Hans von Weber, 1913. Hardcover. IN GERMAN. Limited edition. This is number JJ. Jörg Wickram (about 1505 to about 1565) was a German poet and story teller. Bound in marbled paper covered boards with paper title label to spine titled in black. Label on front cover is no longer present. Rubbing to boards and wear to edges, hinges, cand corners. There is a two inch split to the bottom of the front hinge and paper is lifting from the spine. Interior binding is a little loose with a few splits, but all pages remain bound onto the original binding tapes. Clean, bright interior. 265 pages. GERLANG/122022. Very Good.

Very good in light blue cloth with black title to spine reading "Das treue Deutsche Herz." Spine a bit faded. Chip missing from margin of page 61. Faint 1.5 inch water stain along top edge of pages. Some illustrations have creased corners. Occasional spots of foxing. Last few pages are present but detached. Paper is somewhat brittle. 112 pages. German Literature. GRL1/11280. Very Good.

Maastricht: Halcyon-Presse, 1933. A charming small book of this short story by well-known Austrian writer Stefan Zweig. According to the colophon, this story first appeared in print in the Insel-Almanach auf das Jahre 1927. It was published in February 1933 in Philobiblon and reprinted here by the Halcyon-Presse. There were thirty numbered copies printed on BarchamGreen laid paer and signed by the writer. This is an unsigned copy. It is printed in a simple format consisting of three signatures, unsewn and laid into a paper wrapper. The wrapper has a light pink pattern on white paper, with the author, title and press device on the front cover. Browning to spine and light creasing along top edge of front. Text pages are also in very good condition. With the bookplate of Carel Johannes Jacob Gualtherus Vosmaer (1907 - 1986) affixed to inside of front cover. Carel JJG Vosmaer, a son of Professor Gualtherus Vosmaer, who died in 1916, traded under the name St. Lucas Society in “old and new” books and prints and had an “archive for genealogical documents." Measures 5.5 x 4.25 inches. 44 + pages. GERLANG/071823. Very Good in Wraps.
