The Miniature Book Society is a non-profit organization that focuses on miniature books, but also supports all aspects of the book arts. Miniature books are generally considered to be no more than 3 inches in length, height, or width.
Members receive three print newsletters a year, an annual membership directory, an annual book exhibition catalog, an invitation to the yearly conclave meeting, email updates, and a miniature book published by the MBS (not every year). Annual US membership is only $43!
The MBS hosts an annual gathering for members "The Conclave," which features speakers, workshops, and other events, in different locations every year. This year it will be held in Charlottesville, VA and will include a visit to Monticello, a guided tour of Caroline Brandt's 15,000 miniature book collection now at UVA, a book fair, an awards dinner, several guest speakers, and more.
