Elkader Iowa: n.d. c.1900. Hardcover. In plush blue velvet covered boards with ornate steel clasp. The boards are heavily rubbed with little velvet remaining. The spine is torn along the front hinge, the lower edges are frayed, and there is a tear along the head of the spine. This album includes 18 thick cardboard pages with antiquated black and white photographs inserted. Each page is labeled in pen with captions including the sitter's names (Gruver, Johnson, Kilpe, and Peters are a few). Not all pages have pictures inserted and some of the pages are torn. Includes 22 larger 4 x 6 inch photos and approximately 20 smaller 2.5 x 4 inch (or smaller) photos. One of a kind. Photography. PHOTO/3103. Very Good.
