The eight artists each created a book that illustrates a different poem by Michele Wong Albanese. Works included are: Wild Cats Can by Mary-Ann Agresti; I Wonder by Ruth Ellen Baxter; Personal effects by Marcia Ciro; In My Hands by Tamara Oppenheimer; Meditations on Leaving by Deborah Klotz-Paris; Vacuum Sealed by Teresa Shields; Beyond the Museum of Fine Arts by Stephanie Mahan Stigliano; and On South Cape Beach by Janine Wong. .Each book presents a different poem as interpreted by one of the artists. Michele Wong's evocative poems provide an ideal vehicle for these talented artsts to showcase their interpretations and artistic skills. The eight books each measure 4 x 4 inches and are housed in a beige linen covered box measuring 8 x 5 x 4.75 inches. The sides of the box have paper labels that provide a biography of each of the artists along with a brief description of the techniques they used to create their book. The books vary extensively in the styles of their bindings and of their structures. Several artistic techniques were used, based upon the method each book artist chose. These varied from letterpress printing and Xerox transfer to ink-jet, laser, and/or silkscreen printing. Except for some very light soiling to the paper labels this brililiant set is in fine condition. ARTB/082525. Fine.
