Her work appears in many museums and private collections including the libraries of the Smithsonian, the National Gallery of Art, and the Victoria and Albert Museum. She writes of this work:This is a new limited edition book that recreates the art of the original journal in brilliant color. She states that this new interpretation enhances the visual elements of seasonal change. As she says in her colophon, the Goat Island is a “natural one and a half-mile island that is part of the American Falls of Niagara. The State Park, designed by landscape architect Frederick Olmstead, remains faithful to a natural approach. I walk the perimeter of this island on a daily basis. Goat Island Journal is based on my response to the changing of seasons.”

This artis'st book is an absolutely wonderful reminder of how lovely it can be to witness the changing of the seasons! The book has an accordion structure where a vibrant illustration is created from cut papers of varying colors that offer a design appropriate to each of the four seasons, Bound in plain paper covers with a title label from the original publication in 1993. On the rear cover is a description from Carol of her relationship to the island through daily walks and their inspiration for her work and art. It is signed, numbered, and dated by her. Housed in a plain white paper slipcase with title label to one side. Accompanied by a sheet with Carol's description of this work along with two color images. In fine condition. Measures 5.25 x 8 inches. Unpaginated. ARTB/060625.
