He was the head of the Australian Directorate of Research and Civil Affairs and was an influential figure in the Pacific region after the war through the Australian School of Pacific Administration, which grew out of the directorate. He also helped to found the National Union of Australian University Students, obtained a medical degree and practiced psychiatry before his untimely death from cardiovasular disease. This memorial contains tributes from 36 of his colleagues. Size: Octavo. In black paper wrappers with gilt title to front wrapper and to spine. Binding in near-new condition.
