Each painter has a section of the book devoted to his biography and his art. There is a mounted photograph of each artist, a brief biography and description of his work, three or four full page engraved plates from paintings or drawings, and several copies of the artist's many sketches of his fellow soldiers. Bound in three quarter red leather and black pebbled cloth with gilt titling to spine and front cover. Covers are frayed, bumped, and chipped but interior pages are very good+. Unpaginated.
