1862. Hardcover. Very good in the original black publisher's cloth with gilt title to spine and gilt emblem to front cover. Chipping to book cloth along spine ends and minor wear to corners and edges of boards. There is a two inch split to the book cloth along the bottom of the front hinge and a dime sized loss to the book cloth on the front cover. With numerous illustrations including a fold out view of New York from the sea (1790), several fold-outs of bridges and reservours, several color fold-outs of army regiments leaving the city during 1861, a large fold out of "Old New York - The Bouwery", and more.
