Crosby Place, Described in a Lecture on its Antiquities and Reminiscences. Delivered in the Great Hall, on the Evening of Firday, August 5, 1842

Cornhill: Smith, Elder and Co., 1842. Hardcover. Crosby Hall (originally called "Crosby Place") was built in 1466 in Bishopsgate, London. The building still stands but was moved to Chelsea in 1910. It has been repaired, renovated, relocated, and added on to; however, it is considered to be the most important secular domestic medieval building in London.

Embossed dark green cloth covered boards with gilt lettering and decoration to spine. Minor wear to edges and a few small light spots of soiling to boards. Crack to interior but binding remains tight. Crosby Gaige's bookplate and description of the book pasted to front endpaper. Minor browning to edges of pages and minor foxing to last page of appendix and advertisement pages. 60 pages + 24 pages of ads. English History. ENGHIS01/012000.
Very Good.
