William Pitt (1759 - 1806) was the last prime minister of Great Britain and the first prime minister of the United Kingdom, beginning in 1801. It is fitting that the French would have been interested in his political views as England was engaged in war with France at the time of publication.
Very Good in off-white paper wraps with black title to front wrapper. Two very small holes to front wrapper. Browned and foxed though text remains bright. French language. FRL3/6191. Very Good.
