She creates both miniature (under 3 inches) and macro-miniature (under 1 inch) books. She designs, prints, and binds all of her books and builds (by hand) all of her sculptural items. A beautiful terrestrial globe stands on a cherry wood base. The globe has granular antiqued brass circles at both poles and rests on an elaborate brass base of graduated crowns. The base has a drawer that contains six plates from Garners's Atlas de Geographie of 1865. The plates are backed with a French marbled paper of green and yellow. Size: 3 x 2 1/8 x 1 3/4 inches. Wear along outer hinges and the front hinge is a bit tender. A few scuff marks to boards, and some crackling of the spine leather. Sporadic foxing. Front endpage is present but detached.
