There is a large split to binding after front endpage and a few smaller splits within textblock. Front pastedown is loose near hinge. The exhibition catalog describes itself as the first book to deal with the full scope of Martin's art. There are 100 illustrations including 60 color plates, and three essays that place her work in the context of American and European 20th century art and culture.
