It is reminiscent of Cyril Connolly's life view in The Unquiet Grave. In very good condition. Bound in three quarter red leather with marbled red and black boards and gilt title on five paneled spine. End pages are also marbled, in a different design. Original wrappers are bound in and are peeling with tears to the rear wrapper mended with tape. Interior pages are clean with hint of aging to margins. An attractive book. 255 pages. FRE/082709. Bound in contemporary full-calf with exterior hinges expertly repaired, with original spine having five raised-bands with gilt title and designs to compartments. With faded marble endpapers. There is a frontispiece engraving of Gray. The text is browned with intermittent foxing and several pages with printing showing through to other side of page. Still quite legible.
