Never marrying, she dedicated her life to her family, community and religion. She was also an abolitionist and an advocate for women's rights. Very good in brown side-stapled wrappers with hand written title to front cover "In Memoriam E.T.E. 1839 - 1909." Chipping to bottom corners of a few pages, else fine. Includes a sketch of Ellen's life by Elizabeth Hoar Storer, passages read at her funeral service, and memorial sermon by Rev. Macdonald. Unpaginated [32 pages.] AME/121113. Very Good.
