circa 1930. Hardcover. A book of 60 caricatures. No stated printer or date. Bound in red cloth with gilt title to front cover. Front endpaper and title page present but detached. These two pages (and the rear free endpage) are printed on a different paper stock than the caricatures and they are a bit brittle and browned. Interior hinges are a little fragile. The illustration pages are clean, but a little browned along the margins. In red dust jacket titled in gilt on front panel. Minor chipping to edges of jacket and few small holes to spine panel. Very good in white paper wrappers with blue cloth spine and title to front cover in black. Thin octavo. Presentation copy with inscription on front cover. Paperclip rust marking on front cover across signature and to first few pages of text. Insides are clean and bright (except for paperclip marking). German. 59 pages numbered 335 to 394. German Art. Dark stain (about 2 wide) along upper-quarter of spine, spilling onto front hinge area. Binding a bit loose but hinges are tight and binding is secure. A few smudge marks to covers and interior, but clean overall. illustrated throughout. 543 pages, index; dimensions: 12 x 10. Art. GER206110. Very Good.

A very good, paperback volume of the artist's work. Brown paper wrappers with decorative embossing in black and green and tipped-in circular image of a woman with a lyre. A few small chips and short tears to edges of wrappers. Clean and bright. 8 high quality tipped-in color images and an introduction. 8 pages of text plus 8 plates mounted on thick cardstock.
