Ex-libris with library book plate to front paste down. Very good in maroon cloth black paper covered boards with gilt title to spine. Wear to exterior includes rubbing to boards, bumping to corners and spine ends and some rippling to the cloth on the spine. Light damp stain to front board. Presentation slip tipped in at front. New York: George H. Doran Company, (1926). Hardcover. SCARCE IN DUST JACKET. 8vo. Very good+ in maroon cloth covered boards with gilt title to front board and to spine. Minor bumping to spine ends. Very light browning to front and rear free end pages. Else is pristine with color frontispiece. White illustrated dust jacket with black title to front and spine panels. Minor foxing, soiling and edgewear to dust jacket which is in a protective plastic sleeve. Index, 314 pages. ENGMON/011018. Very Good+ / Very Good.

Minor bumping to spine ends and one small closed tear to top edge of front hinge. Interior is clean and bright and filled with full color photographic illustrations. The interior is foxed and stained. Antiquated signature of previous owner on title page. A few signatures are loose. The facsimilie manuscript is unpaginated; 21 pages of notes; 32 pages of annotations with index. ENGMON/010813. Very Good.
