Inscribed on the free front endpaper to Mel Spragins by the author and the illustrator for Christmas 1980 and includes a small drawing of a frog ballerina in the upper right corner. The book introduces familiar ballet positions and steps and poses and shows how much lies behind the seemingly effortless movements seen on stage. The serious discussions of those steps and positions are juxtaposed by the amusing frogs used to illustrate them in full-page black and white drawings. Bound in blue cloth with gilt titling and small frog drawing to front cover. In price-clipped pictorial cream and black dust jacket with title to spine.
