A nice set of this early compilation of the laws of Massachusetts and those of its earlier periods as a colony, province, and state. Each volume has the index for all of the volumes. Bound in contemporary brown leather with inlaid leather rulings to covers, spine compartments, and black leather title labels. Leather is abraded, soiled, and bumped. Hinges are tender but text blocks are tight. Offsetting and foxing to pastedowns and endpapers. Interior pages are browned with scattered foxing, but text is quite legible. Ownership signature on free endpaper of two of the volumes. Octavos. Volume I: 520 pages + index; Volume II: 1073 pages + index; Volume III: 403 pages + index. LAW/030322. Very Good -.
