Columbus, OH: Catholic Students' Mission Crusade, 1944-1951. Hardcover. The Catholic Students' Mission Crusade (CSMC) was a Roman Catholic organization founded in 1918. It existed until 1972. This collection includes a total of 64 issues starting with January 1944 (Volume 23, Number 4) and going through December 1951 (Volume 31, Number 3). Each volume of the Shield includes eight issues (Oct - May). Original covers of each issue are bound in. Topics address World War II, Japan, Hiroshima, the Phillipines, Latin America, America, Africa, Negro education, postwar relations, communism, personal stories of young missionaries around the world, and more. Photographic images, cartoons, and drawings are included throughout. All issues are bound together in two, large, red, cloth bound volumes. Rubbing and minor soiling to covers of boards.
