Riverside, CA: Bo Press Miniature Books, 2017. Pat Sweet describes herself as creating illuminated miniature books of curiosity, humor, and delight. She creates both miniature (under 3 inches) and macro-miniature (under 1 inch) books. She also makes miniature pocket globes, astronomical instruments, orreries, tellurions, and occasional oddities. This pocket globe is not trapezoidal, of course, but the box is.This is a lunar globe, displayed in a tricky little box. The box is cardstock bound in a metallic bronze paper, with overlays of old astronomical charts. The top and two sides of the lid lift off to reveal two flaps that fold down to reveal the moon. The moon is made of paper gores pasted to a wooden sphere, and rests on a tiny antique brass crown. 2 x 1 5/8 x 1 5/8 inches, and the diameter is 3/4 inch. In fine condition. ARTB/012418.
