Written in conversational style for children about the history of the US beginning with the founding of New York and ending with the American Revolution. Bound in two volumes, both lack original wrappers but remain mostly bound with a few loose pages. Both volumes are housed in an archival cream colored case. Both volumes have an engraved frontispiece and half-title page. Dampstaining to top edge of first few pages in volume 2. Overall, text blocks remain clean.
