This is an excerpt from De mulierbus, the first collection of biographies of women in Western literature. Fine in beige paper covered boards with red cloth spine. The text is printed on blue paper with Poliphilus type. Includes woodcut frontispiece illustration of Joanna, Queen of Jerusalem and Sicily (1541), initials, and head and tailpieces.
