This is a later edition in a modern binding. The first was issued in 1738. It includes a summary of anatomy, physiology, morbid anatomy, pharmacology, and midwifery. Bound in brown cloth backed green paper covered boards and gilt title to spine. Minor scuffing to boards. Large open tear to title page along with a few small holes. Illustrated with six plates out of seven. Plate 3 is missing. The first three pages and the last page of this book are soiled, though the text remains bright and legible. There are two dark colored stains on the last page which have bled through to several previous pages. The stains are fairly dark, but the text remains legible on all pages. The remainder of the interior is foxed rather consistently, but the foxing is very light in color. Tight binding. MED/051005. Very Good.
