Parallel texts of scripture; true chronology of the several histories; an account of the Jewish coins, weights, and measures; an a complete index. With several full page engravings. A thick quarto. Full marbled leather boards with gilt title label to spine. Wear and rubbing to boards, edges, and corners. The corner of title label is no longer present, but lettering is not affected. Marbled endpapers and full marbled edges; although, marbling on edges is heavily worn and faded. Browning and foxing throughout. Occasional notations in pen and pencil. There is also a handsome two page color map of the United States. Bound in full brown leather with gold tooling and black title labels to spine. Leather is worn, rubbed, abraded and bumped. Faded marbling to page edges. Interior pages have browning and foxing throughout. A few loose gutters but text blocks are generally tight. Volume III has an accession stamp on title page and stamped owner name on free front endpaper. Very good minus condition. Small quartos. The first English edition was published in 1738. This edition includes prefatory remarks of Rollin to each history, and the addition of the history of the ancients' art and sciences. Bound in full brown leather with red title label to spine. Leather is scuffed, abraded, bumped, and worn. There is extensive browning and foxing throughout to text pages and the few maps, but text is still legible. Library stamp on title page of Volume I along with a handwritten library ownership note on front pastedown. Good condition.
