Washington DC: 1832. Hardcover. A 13 issue periodical produced by Duff Green to disuade the public from re-electing President Andrew Jackson. Subscribers paid a total of $5 for these 13 issues in 1832, which would be about $150 today. A thin volume bound in dark brown leather over marbled paper covered boards with small leather corners and gilt title to spine. Heavy wear to hinges, edges of boards, and corners. Ex-library with blacked-out call number on front board. Previous owner's lengthy pen notation to front pastedown regarding the contents. Front free endpaper is present but detached. Originally issued in parts, each number has slightly different condition issues ranging from minor dampstaining to foxing to smudge marks and soiling. Continously paginated, 308 pages (however, pagination shoud be 208 pages - it skips from 200 to 300 in last issue.) AMER/011221. Very Good.
