Gilt insignia for teh Royal Grammar School, Lancaster to the front board. Certificate pasted down to front endpaper - a prize for French awarded by the Head Master, Herbert A. Watson to John Shilbeck Wane in 1907. Both hinges are starting and there are a few chips to spine ends. Full marbled edges and marbled endpapers. Clean interior with illustrated title page.
