Newton (1864 – 1940) was an American author, publisher, and book collector with nearly 10,000 books in his collection. Very good condition in light blue paper covered boards with blue ink title to cover and spine; spines lightly faded, boards otherwise clean with sharp corners. All in very good black and white pictorial dust jackets with light rubbing to edges, creasing, and a few short closed tears. Volume 2 has a closed tear at top of front joint of the jacket. Interiors are quite clean, no markings; strongly bound. Illustrated throughout. A lovely set. 230, 276, 176 pp. Books on Books. BOB/12223. Very Good.
