[19th Century Trial Transcript]
Baltimore:
1827.
Fascinating look at our early legal system through a handwritten transcript of 1827 jury trial held in Baltimore. The case of Davis et al v. Barney dealt with a contract dispute over two horses and related issues. Includes a 3 page outline of the case; a proffer of exception of 3 pages; two depositions totaling 4.5 pages; and the action on case - the actual 15 page trial transcript. On small folio size cream colored paper and hand written in black ink. In quite nice condition. A few pages have small margin tears or slight tears along the fold but otherwise very good. LAW/061207.
