Very good maroon cloth 8vo., intricate black ink and gilt stamping to cover and spine. Gilt is partially rubbed on cover, and quite dull on spine. Minor bumping to spine ends and lightly rubbed; corners lightly worn; spine rolled. Decorative green floral print endpapers, front pastedown bears previous owner's antiquated ink name and drawing. Interior is quite clean with only moderate browning/light foxing throughout. Pages are tightly bound, hinges strong. Illustrated frontispiece + numerous black and white illustrations throughout.
