The Old Palace of Bromley-by-Bow: Being the Third Monograph of the Committee for the Survey of the Memorials of Greater London

London: Edward Arnold [Printed for the Committee by the Essex House Press, 1902. Hard Cover. Number 144 of 350 copies, of which 200 were reserved for the committee. Bromley-by-Bow was a large 17th century manor house demolished in 1893 but recorded at the time by photographs and drawings. Ashbee prefaces Godman's account in "An Introductory Note on the Folly of Destroying the Old Palace." Nicely bound in new cloth boards and black leather spine, with original paper covers affixed to the cloth boards. End papers show some foxing, but the letterpress text and plates are in very good condition. 22 pages plus 37 plates. PRI/071911. Very Good.
