English novelist, Louise de la Ramee (1839 - 1908), wrote many novels, childrens books, and short stories under the pseudonym Ouida which is a childish mispronunciation of 'Louise' (OCEL 725). A collection of six stories. Very good plus in original grey cloth boards with gilt title to front board and spine. Minor rubbing to joints and rear board. A few pencil marks to front free end page, else the interior is clean. The top right corners of two pages are torn, but the text is unaffected. 264 pages plus 4 pages of ads. LIT/012209. Very Good Plus.
