Gilt title, author, and volume number with raised bands and decorated compartments to spines of all volumes. Wear to edges and rubbing to hinges, and bands of all volumes. Bookplate of Gilman to front pastedown of all three volumes. Marbled endpages with top edges in gilt. Volume I includes a reproduction of the illustrated frontispiece to the original edition. An attractive set despite the noted wear. 500 pages in volume I; 467 pages in volume II; 514 pages in volume III. MED/100307. Very good.
