Morris, M.D., Surgeon. Irish Catholic priest, Father Theobald Mathew (1790 - 1856), established the Cork Total Abstinence Society in 1838 and later traveled to America to promote temperance.

Bound in brown cloth with gilt title "Father Mathew" to spine. Chipping to spine ends and minor wear to edges and corners of boards. Minor spots of foxing throughout. Dampstain to top edge of corners of all pages, does not effect text. 216 pages. IRE/082516.
