Decorative bands and 6 compartments with blind and gilt stamping to spines. Maroon title labels and black volume labels to spines of both volumes. Inscribed to Clinton Krauss from J. Frost (?) "for our friendship in Monpelier." Scuffing to boards of both volumes and wear/chipping to edges. Marbled edges and endpages. Minor foxing to both volumes, though foxing is a bit heavier to the title pages and to the end of volume 2. Front hinge of volume 1 is starting. Filled with illustrations. Despite noted damage, this remains an attractive set. 384 pages in volume I; 372 pages in volume II. LIT/020906. Very Good.
